Buenos dias! Not a cloud in the sky today. But last night we had a huge storm. We were at an event (which I will tell you about another day). The water streamed out of the canalis and into the courtyard. I looked out to the street and the water was running like a river. About a foot deep, which is why the walkways in Alamos are built up so high, this new river rushed to gather around the Plaza square.
So, we are expecting a rather hot and humid day and perhaps later this afternoon a new storm will gather and explode around us.
This will be a brief post as I am painting the wooden cupboards today. And, by the way, they look superb!
I was up at daybreak because I was worried again about the little nest. I was afraid I might see it lying on the ground, destroyed by Mother Nature herself.
Take a look.

How wonderful to find the little Hummingbird nest - what a great surprise to get to watch them ~ LOVE the red background - really makes your pictures POP!!
thank, girl! Can you believe those babies? They must already be almost full grown!
Nice new look.
Those little birds must have had a scary night in the downpour. Glad you finally got some rain and cleared the air.....
Steve, thank you!
Susan, we had another lighter rain on Saturday night, and all seems well. I saw the mother feeding at the nest yesterday afternoon.
Hi Linda!
Thanks for the visit the other day!
Ahhhhh the rainy season, unlike you I really love all the rain. Now that's not to say that I love all the humidity that comes with it!! As for bugs we are very lucky and blessed because we have very few. The city has a very extensive mosquito control program and all our neighbors take it seriously. Even our fly, flying bug populations are almost nil. With a healthy use of H2O2 (or bleach) the cucaracha haven't gotten the upper hand. I think our secret weapon is the Mighty Gecko!!!! I suppose we have around a dozen+ or so living behind furniture and pictures. Man those little critters must eat 10X's their weight each day!!!

Hi Patti, I said I didn't want rain only because I didn't want it to drown out the little hummingbirds. We live here year round partly because of the rainy season, we absolutely love it. In fact, we like it better than the rest of the year.....so see it was just about the little birds. LL
