We have had gardens before, gardens that somehow did not get tended, or the squirrels tended for us. Gardens that gave us a carrot or two, a few raspberries, brussel sprouts if we were lucky. But we were not lucky gardeners. When you are working a forty hour week, driving kids from soccer to piano and have endless other activities, it is just easier to go to the grocery store.
Now that our days are slightly less filled, tending the garden is a joy.
And just hanging around watching it grow is even better.
Que le vaya bien!

And that may be the trick -- and the joy. Sticking around to watch our gardens grow. I need to give it a try.
Looks like you just got hit with a spammer.
Beautiful garden, I'm envious. Mine is doing well but younger than yours. Lots of volunteer tomatoes on the compost pile
Hey, Steve, I was really excited when Senor said he would tend this garden. I wanted a garden but did not want to do the work. So, it is all his doing. next year he wants to add another section to it. LL
Yep, Sparks, it sure looks that way. Any ideas on how to get rid of it?? Thanks, LL
Looks like you figured it out. Might be easier to set comments to need your approval
Beautiful, you must not have many mochomos (ants). Our place was a former brick yard in days of old and those pesky critters were impossible to get rid of. Yours is definitely salad city.
Hi Gin, no, we do have ants and they can be pretty bad. We spend a lot of time fighting them. But, yes, so far, they do not seem to care about the garden. They like the fruit tree leaves though....LL
Dear Anonymous,
It is getting awfully tiring spending so much time deleting your half brained comments. Please do me a favor and stop leaving them. I am a nice person, but you are really pushing my buttons...LL
