Night in the Garden

Last night just as the moon came sweeping up over the Mirador, I went out into the garden. There is something surreal about visiting the garden at night, the colors, the contrast in light and dark, the sounds, everything is so alive even though it is cloaked in darkness.

But when the moon is full there is a silvery light that invades that darkness and all the plants seem to glow with some kind of secret illumination. It is my favorite time to take photos of a few of our plants.

So here's a little quick tour of the garden at night, in the moon and camera light.

Nice photographs. I like going out by the laguna in the moonlight. Of course, I take a flashlight to see the eyes of the crocodile. I always like knowing just here he (or she) is. My own special flower.

Steve, I know you love them!!!! I don't think I would like seeing him (or her) in any light!!

You're so right...night time has its own beauty. I'm reading a book about Van Gogh, and how he loved to paint at night. He knew!
