So, selling was actually easy once we realized we would get more for the truck by going north to Phoenix. So, we went and sold the truck in one day.
Enterprise, next door to the dealer, gave us a little red rental car to zip back to Tucson, where we have found several small SUV's we are interested in. The driver's side visor fell off in Senor's lap as we were getting to the highway to head south. No problem, a quick return to Enterprise and we are back in Tucson, driving a little VW bug with California plates.
We have looked at the cars we are interested in, but banks are closed on Monday, so we are extending our stay.
Now, I miss the truck.
I hated the truck. The truck was too big. Senor bought the truck behind my back while I was on vacation. He knew I would not like it. But, I grew to like it.
Mexico did not like it. Our gate did not like it. A few columns down in the historic district did not like it. The narrow lanes of Highway 15 did not like it. Our budget for gas came to really dislike it.
But, I did grow to like it, but it's gone now.
In our hotel room, we are waiting for the Seahawks game to begin and afterwards we are driving out to the Saquaro National Park. We have been before, but are planning to go look for a place where my parents used to stay when they would come to Tucson. It is in the park. I hope to get some photos to send them and I will not forget to send them to you as well.
Tucson seems very quiet to me. There is less traffic, flags are at half mast, motorcades direct cars to cemeteries, people wait patiently to attend memorials. There is still daily television coverage.
One cannot help but be struck by the senselessness of the shootings last week here in Tucson. It is such a time for reflection and thought and hope that this will not happen again. I don't know what else to say. I think it will take a long time for the town to heal, but there is good news in the conditions of the people still in the hospital. So, there is always a glimmer of hope there and that will help Tucson.
And now, the game is about to begin. We still have a soft spot for Seattle.........Go Hawks!!!!!!!!!!!!
adios! linda lou

People who kill at random are an illness of any social people, at any given time, one or more of the cells(people) gets wired wrong and tries to kill the other cells, sort of like cancer on a person's body. Be glad it was a lone person and not someone like Hitler who was able to infect many people.
Hello Linda Lou and Señor, I hope you are close to going home and that everything worked out. Glad to hear you were able to sell your truck and can't wait to see pictures of the park! Take care and have a safe trip home.
